Ptolus Region

The kingdom of Ptolus covers nearly the entire continent of Ream. The city of Ptolus is its capital, its population as of the last census being 224,450 persons, most of which are human. Ptolus is surrounded by 20’ high walls, as thick as 15’ in some areas. The castle Ptolus stands in the northeastern section of the city on a man-made hill overlooking the Bay of Ptolus. The walls of the castle stand 30’ high and are made of a white granite mined in the hills around Hallerton, to the north and east. The city is accessed by either one of three gates or through the docks at the bay. Its gates are named after the Ptolus creed, Strength (north gate), Equality (southwest gate), and Discipline (south gate – military or official use only). The colors of Ptolus are green and white with a gold trim. The letter “P” with a wreath on its upper corner was chosen as the symbol for Ptolus, its motto of Strength, Equality, Discipline around and under it. It was chosen by Raymond Ptolus not as a representative of the Ptolus name, but to symbolize the People that would make Ptolus Region their home.
